ACTING FOR CAMERA – Pt 1, 2 and 3 Package (Save 30%)
3 x two day ACTING workshop PACKAGE for teenagers and adults held at Perth Modern School during school holidays in PERTH. The workshops will run from the 12th – 17th April 2021. Available for both experienced and non experienced students, the 3 x two day workshops (6 days in total) explore the key components of film and television acting; specificity, being present, objectives and tools, controlling nerves, script analysis and an actors ‘authentic’ naturalistic voice.
The workshops will be facilitated by qualified high school english and drama teacher, graduate of the National Institute of Performing Arts (NIDA), writer, director and producer, Myles Pollard who has been working in the film and television industry professionally for two decades.
The content is appropriate for all skill and experience levels, encouraging creativity, confidence and sense of play.
Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 will each be held over two days and will build on the participants learning progressively, exploring the key components of performance, essential for success in the film, television and theatre industries. The scene and monologue complexity will increase with each consecutive part.
NOTE
This is an OPEN age group class (12 years and older) with teenagers working with adults. Younger students inspire adults to connect with their own childlike sense of play and the adults can model the discipline and intellectual rigour acting demands. Just a like a real film set, age is a great leveller. Younger students however need to be mature enough to work alongside adults in a focussed and collaborative way.
