ACTING FOR CAMERA Pt 3
Two day ACTING workshop for teenagers and adults on the 16th and 17th April 2021 at Perth Modern School in Perth. Part 3 is available to students who have completed Part 2 (in person or online).
Part 3 further explores the key components of performance, essential for success in the film, television and theatre industries but the scene and monologue complexity increases.
The workshops are held over two days and examine the key components of film and television acting more rigorously; specificity, being present, objectives and tools, controlling nerves, script analysis and an actors ‘authentic’ naturalistic voice. Scenes and monologues will be more complex and more highly staked.
A qualified high school english and drama teacher, graduate of the National Institute of Performing Arts (NIDA), writer, director and producer, Myles Pollard has been working in the film and television industry professionally for two decades.
NOTE
This is an OPEN age group class (12 years and older) with teenagers working with adults. Younger students inspire adults to connect with their own childlike sense of play and the adults can model the discipline and intellectual rigour acting demands. Just a like a real film set, age is a great leveller. Younger students however need to be mature enough to work alongside adults in a focussed and collaborative way.
