Acting Workshops

I’ve attended Myles’s workshops and can’t recommend them highly enough! I've learnt new skills as well as building on current skills, including relaxation techniques for stressful environments, effective communication and listening all while being immersed in the incredible world of acting. Myles creates such a great atmosphere where you feel supported but also challenged to grow. His teaching is engaging and full of insights, always pushing you to do your best. I would recommend Myles’s workshops to anyone!

Myles has an incredible ability to put people at ease, and coax them out of their shells. I have had the pleasure of working with him multiple times and he never fails to impress. The first time I met him I was nervous and unsure about my chosen path, but he made me feel comfortable, and excited about the future. I can confidently recommend any course/workshop Myles is offering.

My name is Josefine. I'm from Norway, and I felt so lucky when Covid opened up for online classes with Myles Pollard.  I learned so much from his classes. And even though the classes were online it felt collaborative both in the one to one classes and in the group classes. I really really recommend investing in this, you will definitely see things you might know in a different way and understand much more about the process and the craft. Also you will get receive feedback with your classmates and that helps so much.

Myles has been one of my favourite acting coaches I have worked with over the years. I first worked with him in a 10 week course and then private sessions following that. He really helped me deal with nerves and simple techniques to have multiple tools on set so I could troubleshoot as needed. One of the many helpful coaching cues he gave me was to simply ‘put all of your focus onto the other actor in the scene’. It sounds simple, but I use that in every moment I perform, if I ever begin to get that nervous twitch in my neck, I simply breath and then just focus on the fellow performer in the scene. I highly recommend anyone at any stage of their careers can learn a lot from him. Thanks mate. 

Myles has been an instrumental pillar and mentor along my creative journey, and I can’t put to words how inspired I’ve felt every time I’ve worked with him. His passion and love for the craft is so contagious; and as a teacher, the faith he instills in every student brings out such truth and vulnerability.Myles’ intensive and masterclass workshops are truly transformative, and he has such a unique gift for firing up the spark in every actor he works with. I feel so fortunate to have had him as a private coach as well - his talent in both acting and directing has helped me immensely in emotional discovery, and empowered me in ways beyond anything I originally thought possible.Above all, he is an all-round genuine legend, and is extremely humble and enthusiastic in everything he does…and every life he comes into contact with. 

A huge thank you to Myles for his drama workshops. Our daughter has attended Myles’ workshop 4 times now and it has been incredible for her confidence. The first she attended she was very nervous and anxious, but over the course of the two days we could see her grow in confidence. Over the additional workshops she blossomed and learnt practical acting skills for both camera and skills for presenting and life in general. We couldn’t be happier with the course Myles offers and the skills that are gained don’t only have to be for acting but also practical for many other aspects of life be it with friends, at school or even in the future. Most of all she loved the courses and had FUN! Highly recommend the course with Myles.

“Myles Pollard's acting workshops were invaluable to not only my acting skills but to my entire acting career. I had just begun my acting journey when I attended his beginner workshops and was instantly hooked! He provided me with such an amazing array of acting tools and knowledge, many of which I still use to this day. Myles breaks down the most technical of acting skills in a simplistic and understandable way, whilst providing such an open and comfortable environment. I was one of six in the audition workshop for WAAPA and NIDA, and can say with confidence that what I learnt from Myles is a major reason as to why my WAAPA audition was successful. Thanks to Myles and his teachings, myself and 4 others who attended the workshop were accepted into WAAPA and are now working in the industry. I am have since graduated from WAAPA with a Bachelor of Performing Arts majoring in Performance Making. Since graduating I have co-founded the production company 'Lazy Films' with Oscar Millar (who also attended the same workshop and studied in the same course as myself).
